Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) seeks an Administrator II, System to manage and maintain campus IT infrastructure, focusing on provisioning, configuration, operation, and backup of systems. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT and multiple certifications; strong coordination with department managers is expected.

The SA-II will monitor security, perform system maintenance, and lead technical initiatives, ensuring ERP data integrity and availability across GTCC platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology (computer science, information systems, programming or other related field).
• Seven years of work experience in IT field and five years as a Systems Administrator Level I or II.
• MCSE, MCP, Network, INET preferred; CompTIA A+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of GTCC systems hardware and software.
• Monitor servers and systems for security, availability, and performance.
• Assist and lead project teams, document specifications, and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure backups and data restoration of files and ERP data; maintain security and patching.
