Job summary

Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking a System Administrator I in West Point, GA to support server administration, MES, endpoint support, backups, patching, and monitoring within a manufacturing technology environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows and Linux, AD/DNS/DHCP, and a customer-focused approach to IT support. You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to minimize downtime and maintain MES availability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in the IT field preferred.
• Experience supporting Windows desktop and server environments.
• Basic Linux administration knowledge.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of backup concepts and patch management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to support internal users professionally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to support a 24x5 or 24x6 operational environment as needed.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Windows and Linux server environments and perform routine administration.
• Monitor server health, performance, and availability; manage OS updates and documentation.
• Support Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP; assist with infrastructure tasks.
• Provide first-line MES infrastructure support and ensure system availability.
• Monitor and support MES connectivity, performance, and issues; escalate as needed.
• Oversee daily backups; verify completion and restore requests.
• Document patching activities, procedures, and system changes.
• Troubleshoot server, workstation, and application issues; log incidents and resolutions.
• Support automation initiatives using scripting tools and maintain procedures.
• Assist with infrastructure projects, deployments, testing, and system readiness.
