Job summary

Hyundai Autoever America in West Point, GA seeks a System Administrator II to design, implement, and manage enterprise Windows and Linux servers, VMware/vSphere, AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL, storage, and cloud resources.

You will lead troubleshooting, implement backup/disaster recovery, monitor performance, develop automation (PowerShell), and ensure security and compliance across production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a primary administrator for Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Minimum 2 years of experience administering VMware vSphere environments (vSAN experience strongly preferred).
• Strong expertise in server administration, troubleshooting, and production support for enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver assignments and projects within defined scope and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, patch, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file/print, Exchange, SQL, storage, virtualization platforms (VMware/vSphere), and cloud-integrated resources.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and system issues; review logs; and produce System Incident Reports for production-impacting events.
• Develop, test, and validate backup and disaster recovery strategies for servers, Exchange, and SQL databases to ensure business continuity.
• Implement and operate monitoring solutions; analyze performance metrics; optimize capacity and resource utilization; develop automation scripts (PowerShell).
• Implement security controls, patch management and compliance processes; perform capacity planning; manage vendor relationships and procurement tracking.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, document requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and support ITSM processes and stakeholder communications.
