Subsidium and its employees are committed to mission accomplishment and organizational excellence.Location: Naval Station Norfolk, VASalary Range: $78,000 - $82,000Job Summary:The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of JECC-managed servers, workstations, and networked peripherals. This role ensures the operational readiness of IT systems supporting administrative, exercise, and operational tasks in alignment with JECC mission requirements. The System Administrator provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, manages system outages, and ensures compliance with DoD and JECC policies.Responsibilities/Duties:- System Administration:
- Perform installation, operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and removal tasks for JECC-managed servers located in Building X132.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for system administration, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Service Outage Management:
- Complete scheduled service outage request forms and submit them to service providers at least seven (7) business days prior when possible.
- Report maintenance outages in the Daily Operational Status Report.
- Computer Imaging:
- Coordinate with service providers to optimize computer images for JECC environments.
- Develop and maintain local baseline images that meet security certification and accreditation requirements.
- Desktop/Laptop Systems:
- Install, configure, deliver, maintain, and support desktop/laptop systems and associated peripherals.
- Provide 24/7 support, including on-call services outside normal working hours.
- Deployment/Loaner Systems:
- Provide portable IT systems for JECC travelers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Ensure systems are issued within 48 hours of request and reimaged before reissuance.
- Exercise Support:
- Participate in planning and execution of exercises, including setup, maintenance, and teardown of IT systems.
- Provide on-site/off-site support for exercise deployments and redeployments.
Qualifications:- Proficiency Level: Intermediate (I) in relevant work roles.
- Skills: Strong technical troubleshooting, system management, and customer service skills.
- SECRET clearance required; TOP SECRET/SCI eligibility preferred.
Education/Certifications:- Computing Environment Certification (e.g., Microsoft O365, Windows 10/11, Server).
