Job Summary:

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Application Administrator to support the Defense Health Agency. The role involves designing, securing, implementing, and monitoring the Business Intelligence Application platform (Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense) and the underlying Microsoft server architecture. Collaboration with team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes is also essential. You will be an integral part of the team, taking ownership of platform issues and resolving them effectively.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance to less experienced systems administrators.
• Install and configure Business Intelligence applications.
• Optimize performance and ensure high availability of Windows Servers and BI applications.
• Support and maintain Windows Servers and BI application security, including patching and IAVA remediation.
• Harden and secure Windows Servers and BI applications according to DISA Security and Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Review logs and monitor system performance.
• Assist development staff with deployment of custom solutions.
• Develop, test, and maintain automation frameworks for repeatable tasks to reduce overhead.
• Plan modernization and upgrades of existing systems.
• Provide troubleshooting support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 BI tools and Windows Server issues, including but not limited to:
• Customer troubleshooting efforts
• OS issues troubleshooting and resolution
• Permissions, Web Service, Database, and BI application issues troubleshooting
• Network, Active Directory, Authentication, and Authorization issues troubleshooting

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience with Business Intelligence System Administration (Tableau, QlikView, or Qlik Sense).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Experience with data collection, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Understanding of good data management practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with DoD and government agencies.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Training in Windows Server OS.

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
• Tableau Certified Server Associate.
• QlikView Certified System Administrator.
• Qlik Sense Certified System Administrator.
