Job summary

Mozaic Senior Life in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Part-time Chaplain to provide spiritual support to residents during Sabbath and Jewish holidays. You will help lead services, offer counseling, and create a respectful religious environment.

DUTIES

• Assist in leading Synagogue services for Sabbath and major Jewish holidays.
• Conduct religious programming for Sabbath and major Jewish holidays for all residents/patients.
• Provide pastoral visits and counseling for residents/patients.
• Assist Director of Pastoral Services in providing the spiritual environment appropriate for Sabbath and Jewish holidays.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Arts or Sciences
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Jewish communal service
• Licensure: Valid driver's license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of Jewish practices related to Synagogue, dietary laws, and Jewish holidays; to read Hebrew; ability to read communicate effectively including public speaking; ability to meet multiple demands and to perform job requirements on time.
