Job summary

Sholom in Saint Paul is seeking a Chaplain/Spiritual Counselor to lead religious services and provide spiritual and emotional care to patients, families and staff. The role includes educational seminars and in-service sessions within our aging-services continuum.

Requirements include a seminary degree and ordination as a Rabbi or Cantor; two+ years’ experience preferred, with hospice experience a plus. This is a part-time, on-site role (24 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology with a divinity degree.
• Must be ordained as a Rabbi or Cantor.
• Two or more years’ related experience preferred.
• Work experience in aging services preferred.
• Hospice experience preferred.

Summary

The Chaplain/Spiritual Counselor, facilitates and leads Religious services and programs, provides spiritual and emotional care to patients, families and staff members, and leads educational seminars and in-service sessions.

Job Specifications

Education, Experience and Credentials

• Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (Bachelor’s in Divinity, Master’s of Divinity or equivalent theological degree) required.
• Must be ordained as a Rabbi or Cantor.
• Two or more years’ related experience preferred.
• Work experience in aging services preferred.
• Hospice Only: Work experience in hospice or home health preferred.

Compensation

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
