Job summary

Sonepar is seeking a Switchgear Specialist in Denver, CO to manage quotes and bids, analyze technical schematics, and provide ongoing technical support. You will coordinate with purchasing for availability and ensure accurate data flow between client drawings, electrical plans, and SAP systems.

Ideal candidates have 3–4+ years in switchgear, ERP proficiency (SAP), and a strong client-facing mindset to drive timely, accurate responses and build lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 3–4+ years of experience with commercial/industrial switchgear products.
• Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of commercial electrical suppliers, pricing, and local/regional markets.
• Ability to travel to customer offices and construction sites.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication at senior levels.
• Strong customer service orientation, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Time management — able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming quotes and bids with accuracy, competitiveness, and timeliness.
• Analyze schematics and advise on compatible product solutions per project specs.
• Generate bills of materials from drawings and notes.
• Provide technical support to customers and team members.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure product availability per contract specs.
• Maintain data integrity between client schematics and SAP systems.
• Ensure timely responses to customer requirements and issues.
• Represent QED's value proposition to customers and promote products.
• Identify sales opportunities and share insights with management.
• Build rapport with customers by understanding their business and market.
