Job description

Job Summary: The Telecommunications Operator provides efficient and courteous handling of telecommunications services in the hospital, including answering calls, maintaining and operating switchboard equipment, and dispensing patient information. The role also involves providing paging/beeper services and serving as a back-up for the Info Desk Receptionist.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience with telephone switchboard equipment is desirable. Must have a good memory, a clear and well-modulated voice, strong interpersonal skills, and fluency in English. Ability to perform duties in noisy environments with frequent interruptions is essential.
