Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Operator provides efficient and courteous handling of telecommunications services in the hospital, including answering calls, maintaining and operating switchboard equipment, and dispensing patient information. They also provide paging/beeper services and serve as a back-up for the Info Desk Receptionist.

Specifications:
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Experience working with telephone switchboard equipment is desirable.
  3. Must possess a good memory, a clear, well-modulated voice, and strong interpersonal skills.
  4. Fluent in English.
  5. Ability to perform job duties in a noisy environment with frequent interruptions.
