Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Operator provides efficient and courteous handling of telecommunications services in the hospital, including:

1. Answering calls
2. Maintaining and operating switchboard equipment

4. Providing paging/beeper services
5. Serving as back-up for the Info Desk Receptionist

Specifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Experience with telephone switchboard equipment desirable
• Good memory, clear and well-modulated voice
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English
• Ability to perform duties in noisy environments with interruptions
