Job description

Job Summary:

The Telecommunications Operator provides efficient and courteous handling of telecommunications services in the hospital, including answering calls, maintaining and operating switchboard equipment, and dispensing patient information. Provides paging/beeper services, and serves as back-up for the Info Desk Receptionist.

Specifications:
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Experience working with telephone switchboard equipment desirable.
  3. Must possess a good memory, a clear, well-modulated voice, strong interpersonal skills, and be fluent in English.
  4. Ability to perform job duties in a noisy environment with frequent interruptions.
