Job summary

Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA, seeks a friendly Part‑Time Team Member to operate the main switchboard, respond to internal and external calls, and deliver accurate messages with courtesy.

The role requires flexibility across shifts from early morning to evenings, weekends, and holidays, with perks including free Hersheypark admission and parking, staff discounts, and a welcoming, chocolate-themed work environment.

• Ability to communicate clearly and warmly with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Transfer calls to the appropriate destination (essential).
• Accept requests for and place wake-up calls at designated times (essential).
• Accept and deliver accurate messages (essential).
• Monitor heat/smoke detector panel (essential).
• Activate emergency response procedures when necessary (essential).
• Monitor two-way radio communication with security, engineering, and chauffeur staffs; use paging system to locate staff (essential).
• Cross-trains at the front desk (essential).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for responding to all internal and external calls received through the Hershey Lodge’s main switchboard console.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Transfer calls to the appropriate destination*
• Accept requests for and place wake-up calls at the designated times*
• Accept and deliver accurate messages*
• Monitor the heat/smoke detector panel*
• Activate emergency response procedures when necessary*
• Monitor two-way radio communication with the security, engineering, and chauffeur staffs; and employ the paging system to locate staff*
• This position also cross-trains at the front desk*
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrate courtesy, clarity of speech, and good judgment.

Job Demands:

• Physical requirements include sitting (up to 100% of the shift), hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Primarily eight hour shifts between 6:30 AM to 11:30 PM, including weekends and holidays. Additional hours may be required based on operational demand
