Job summary

Hershey Lodge, part of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, is seeking a part-time team member to support its Activities area within the Recreation Department. You will host seasonal activities, participate in character events, and welcome guests, including children, at check-in.

The role emphasizes guest service, a professional image, and the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed. This position offers family-friendly perks and access to Hersheypark benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Child Care or customer service experience a plus.
• Clearances required under Pennsylvania law: PSP criminal history, Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI fingerprinting.

This position is responsible for multiple functions in the activities area of the Recreation Department at the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Hosting scheduled activities and events current for the season*
• Participating in costume as a Hershey Product Character*
• Welcoming guest and children to the property at the Kid's Check In*
• Assisting with special events and themed weekends*
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Child Care or customer service experience a plus
• This position may provide care, supervision, guidance, or control of children or may have regular, ongoing contact with children that is integral to the responsibilities of the position. As a result, in accordance with Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law, newly hired candidates are required to obtain the following clearances: a report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse), and Fingerprint-based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI). Completed clearances are required to be submitted prior to starting employment.

Job Demands:

• Physical requirements include complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and ability to tolerate heat.
• Must be able to work at least 16 hours per week.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 25 lbs.
• Schedule is primarily second shift. However, schedule may vary according to operational needs, with weekends and Holidays required.
