Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for switchboard and control panel assembly. You will own production process control, shop floor efficiency, and facility reliability, interfacing with production, engineering, quality, and facilities to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.

The role emphasizes practical execution, hands-on problem solving, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment across UL891 switchboards and UL67 panel boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or 3–5+ years hands-on manufacturing experience
• Experience improving shop floor processes and labor efficiency in electrical equipment assembly
• Proven ability to create/refine routings, work instructions, or process documentation
• Experience leading/root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Familiarity with fixtures, jigs, or tooling relevant to panel/switchboard fabrication
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and facility operations
• Strong cross-functional coordination with production, quality, and engineering teams
• Hands-on role blending engineering thinking with shop floor execution

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA/NFPA/IEEE standards
• Create and optimize production routings for switchboard and panelboard assembly
• Establish standardized work at direct labor level to drive consistency
• Design fixtures, jigs, and tooling to reduce cycle time and cost
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
• Support materials management, production and inventory control tasks
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve production issues in real time
• Support UL891 and UL67 production compliance and NEC/NFPA standards
• Drive continuous improvement across production, material flow, and facilities
