Job summary

Lexair Inc. is seeking a meticulous Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, read blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances. You will also cross-train in quality control and assist in inspecting components throughout production.

The role requires capable reading of drawings, tool selection, and use of precision measuring devices. Expect a 1st shift in a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical mathematics including geometry and trigonometry.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Computer literacy and basic machine shop practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC machines (Swiss lathe centers) and maintain productivity.
• Read blueprints, work orders, and sketches to determine required operations.
• Program and set up CNC machines using G code and conversational programming.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Prepare tooling and execute machining with first article and in-process inspections.
