Job summary

Toolcraft Inc. is seeking a Swiss Lathe Machinist Level 1 to join a clean, high-tech manufacturing environment that prioritizes precision and craftsmanship. The role involves setup, program edits, and in-process inspection to ensure high-quality parts produced to exact specifications.

The position requires knowledge of screw machining, machine offsets, and the ability to read and follow shop procedures. Night and day shifts are available with standard and differential pay, supporting growth

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment and an additional 1 year of Swiss machine operation.
High school diploma or equivalent within 2 years of hire date.
Ability to read, understand, and follow all shop procedures and instructions.
Must understand and be able to use shop inspection tools.

Responsibilities

Set up tooling as required by the project work order and setup sheet.
Audit and maintain shop documents as required.
Program editing as required to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Tie-in and train Shop Technicians.
Operate the machine per programs and work order instructions.
In-process inspection of parts in conjunction with a part checklist to ensure quality.
Deburr in-process parts to promote continuous machine operation and efficiency.
Promote continuous process improvement through daily shop activity and clear communication.
