Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide Swiss CNC turning and Drill Tap Mill programming expertise. You will work with customers to set up machines, program runs, train operators, and troubleshoot applications both on-site and remotely.

The role emphasizes hands-on programming, setup, and customer training, with travel to client sites as required. This position is safety sensitive and integrates with Sales and Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Swiss machine tool programming and setup.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 35% for installations and training.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer/vendor relationships to support teamwork.
• Provide pre-sale technical sales support to sales team and customers.
• Perform tooling/fixturing setup, programming, and run-off to optimize cycle times.
• Interpret prints and design machine programming processes to create parts.
• Provide on-site and remote application training for machine operations and troubleshooting.
• Travel to customer sites for installations and training as needed.
• Create and maintain project records and documentation.
