Job summary

Swift Placement & Consulting is seeking an experienced CNC Applications Engineer for Swiss Turning to deliver technical excellence. You will design and develop machine programming processes, set-up, run-offs, and train customers to ensure optimum efficiency and equipment utilization.

You will provide Swiss CNC applications troubleshooting, support the sales and service teams, and travel as needed to support customers and training events.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of machine tool products, options and functions with Swiss machine tool programming and setup.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances; develop processes for machine tool equipment.
• Experience with statistical process control (CPK) and process evaluation.
• Strong business writing and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% for installations and training.

Responsibilities

• Builds internal/external customer and vendor relationships to promote teamwork.
• Provides pre-sale technical sales support to sales team and customers.
• Performs toolings and fixturing set-ups, programming, and run-offs for optimum cycle times.
• Interprets part prints and designs machine programming processes to create parts.
• Provides on-site and in-house training on machine operations and basic troubleshooting.
• Travels to customer sites to support installations and training.
• Maintains documentation and reporting for machine and programming processes.
• Participates in sales and service meetings as requested.
