Swift Placement and Consulting seeks a CNC Applications Engineer for Swiss Turning to provide capstone technical support, develop programming processes, and train customers on machine operations. The role includes on-site and remote troubleshooting, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Essential duties include tooling and fixturing setup, run-offs, and ensuring efficient cycle times. A 2-year manufacturing degree and strong communication skills are required; travel readiness is important.

Qualifications

Two-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field is required or equivalent.
Experience in Swiss machine tool programming, programming modification and setup is required.
Strong business writing and documentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated self-starter with organizational skills and planning ability.
Project management skills preferred.
PC literacy and proficiency in job-related software.

Responsibilities

Provide Swiss CNC Turning technical expertise to customers to ensure development, retention and satisfaction.
Design and develop machine programming processes to create parts.
Train customers on machine operations and basic troubleshooting.
Travel to customer sites for installations and training up to 35%.
Support and participate in trade shows and training seminars.
Maintain records and documentation for machine and programming processes.
