Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Hartford, CT, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to lead turnkey projects, demonstrations, and customer-related activities ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. You will conduct pre-sale reviews, evaluate opportunities, provide machine assessments, recommend parts and turnkey proposals, and develop/customize demonstrations and training for CNC centers.

Travel to customer sites for on-site training and engineering support is required; familiarity with

Qualifications

• Experience with Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tools.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls; 5-axis experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and customer-related initiatives to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.
• Conducting pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment, and turnkey proposal development.
• Developing and implementing custom demonstrations and training for CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss lathes, and multitasking machines.
• Training customers in safe setup and operation of CNC machines.
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site training and engineering assistance.

Job description

Duties:

• Running turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer related projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget


• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal


• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines


• Conducts training of customers in the safe set-up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/or multi-tasking machines.


• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications


• Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing


• Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company


• Knowledge of Fanuc based controls, 5-axis experience is a plus


• Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferred but not required.


• Able to think quickly, assess a situation and make a sound decision.
