Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Shipper/Receiver in Salt Lake City, UT to handle shipping, receiving, and stocking finished goods. This full-time, swing-shift role uses ERP systems, requiring forklift operation and safety-first practices. You’ll prepare shipments, load pallets, and ensure accuracy of paperwork.

There is a focus on accuracy, quality, and timely fulfillment, with growth opportunities and a strong rewards program. Relocation is not offered and no travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Powered Industrial Truck Certification required (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. HazMat Training required (will certify at hire).
• 1 year of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience required.
• Operate forklift, reach truck, order picker, and electric pallet jack.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and promote a safe work environment.
• Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• Follow written and oral instructions including safety guidelines and procedures.
• Reliable, punctual attendance per attendance policy.
• Strong communication to relay information across departments.
• Knowledge of quality standards and QC processes.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Team player with group goal focus.
• Multi-task with initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service principles applied on the job.
• Reading comprehension of safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet.
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Ensure shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards.
• Receive, stock, and rotate product.
• Identify, tag, store and locate finished inventory.
• Create and apply shipping documents and bills of lading.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
