Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Needham, MA is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors for a part-time role teaching children ages 4 months to 12 years using our play-based curriculum. You’ll create a safe, fun learning environment and communicate progress to families.

Starting pay is $17–$19/hour with a minimum of two shifts per week (3–6 hour shifts). Paid training is provided; Lifeguard certification is required within 90 days of employment, with courses offered and you paid for training time.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1-3 years).
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified).

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months -12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress
• Maintain pool safety
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck
