Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking enthusiastic Swim Teachers to join our team across leisure centres in the county. This casual and contracted role offers daytime, evenings and weekend hours, with several fixed post hours and flexible opportunities.

You will require Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 qualifications and commit to attaining RLSS NPFQ or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches, plus SEQ Level 1 & 2 within six months.

Qualifications

• Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Qualifications.
• Must work towards RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches, and SEQ Level 1 & 2 within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming to children and adults across the county.
• Help learners develop a vital life skill in a safe environment.

5.5 hours permanent post - Woodhouse close
3.5 hours permanent post - Newton Aycliffe
Casual hours - Louisa Centre
Casual hours - Chester le Street
Casual hours / Contracted Hours available. Contracted hours are negotiable - Freemans Quay

Are you enthusiastic, passionate about swimming? Do you want to share your passion with others by helping people learn this essential fun life skill? Durham County Council teach over 4000 children to swim, we have amazing teachers that teach these children a life skill and we are looking to expand our team across the county.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
