Job summary

World of Swimming is seeking an enthusiastic Level 2 swimming instructor to join our friendly team at Radley, delivering lessons to children and adults; schedule includes Monday & Wednesday 3.30pm-6.00pm and Saturday 9.00am-12.00pm.

Following the Swim England framework, you’ll help swimmers feel confident, safe, and supported, with opportunities to work with small groups.

Qualifications

• ASA Level 2 / STA Award or international equivalent required.
• Baby & Preschool Qualification is a bonus.
• Confident communication and a professional, friendly approach.
• Strong swimming ability with up-to-date teaching techniques.
• A lifesaving qualification is preferred; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, fun, progressive swimming lessons from beginners to competitive levels.
• Create engaging, structured classes following the Swim England framework.
• Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring each swimmer and family feels welcome and supported.
• Monitor and record swimmer attendance and weekly progress using Soakly.
• Act as a positive ambassador for World of Swimming, upholding our values and teaching standards.

Role Overview

Following the Swim England framework, you’ll deliver high-quality lessons to children and adults, helping every swimmer feel confident, safe, and supported

What We’re Looking For

• ASA Level 2 / STA Award and Certificate Swimming Instructor Qualification (or international equivalent)
• Baby & Preschool Qualification - Bonus
• Confident communication skills and a professional, friendly approach
• Strong swimming ability and up-to-date knowledge of teaching techniques
• A lifesaving qualification (preferred, but training can be provided)
• Passion for working with small groups of children and helping them progress

What We Offer

• Competitive pay: £15 per hour + 5.6 weeks of holiday pay for STA Award Teachers and Swim England Level 1 qualified teachers or £21 per hour + 5.6 weeks holiday pay for STA Certificate and Swim England qualified teachers
