Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Madison, AL is seeking a proactive General Manager to oversee daily operations, staffing, member services, and retail activities across the location. You will lead a team to deliver high-quality swim instruction, exceptional customer service, and a safe, welcoming environment for families.

Responsibilities include directing staff, training, payroll, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to SOPs; overseeing EAP and safety protocols; coordinating marketing and sales efforts to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or equivalent is desired.
• Three to five years management experience is preferred.
• Experience as youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor or aquatics instructor/supervisor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations to ensure the school is running per GSS SOPs.
• Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction.
• Train and oversee staff to provide superior swim instruction and customer service.
• Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
• Oversee retail and vending departments to ensure proper product mix and pricing.
• Train private party staff to maintain GSS SOPs.
• Ensure mastery of technology for bookings, scheduling, reporting and admin tasks.
• Maintain safe and sanitary swim environment and proper pool chemistry.
