Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager - Aquatics to lead daily lesson flow, develop instructors and deck supervisors, and ensure safety and exceptional family experiences on the pool deck.

You will coach staff, manage certifications, lead safety initiatives, and partner with the GM to drive program quality and growth. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in aquatics or youth programming.
• Natural coach who gives feedback early, often and constructively.
• Comfortable with digital tools and quick to learn new systems.
• Safety-first mindset and ability to lead a team calmly under pressure.
• Must obtain Lifeguard Certification if not already.
• Available for evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Keep lessons running on time, on brand, and at the highest level of quality each shift.
• Coach instructors on accurate, consistent skill evaluation for move-ups based on readiness.
• Use attendance and performance data to spot problems and adjust in real time.
• Review performance trends daily and align expectations with staff before shifts.
• Guide new hires from day one through training and onboarding.
• Conduct formal evaluations for instructors and deck staff; advise on staffing decisions.
• Maintain staff certifications (lifeguard, CPR) and keep records current.
