Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA in Boyertown is seeking enthusiastic Swim Instructors (ages 15+) to teach swimming and provide a safe, engaging aquatics experience for members and participants. You'll develop communication, leadership and responsibility while supporting a mission-driven, non-profit organization.

Qualifications

• Age 15+ and interest in teaching children to swim.
• Experience with kids and passion for teaching swimming.
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim
• Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience
• Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents
• Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required

What is needed for this job as our Swim Instructor:

• Age 15+
• Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification
• Ability to complete and pass our in-water skills assessment
