YMCA of Greater Charlotte is seeking a part-time Swim Lesson Instructor to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate swim instruction in a safe, welcoming setting. The role emphasizes water safety, youth development, and community engagement within YMCA programs.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing progress, and communicating with parents, while adhering to YMCA guidelines and maintaining a clean aquatic area. Evening and weekend hours required.

Qualifications

• Strong swimming ability and knowledge of fundamental strokes.
• Ability to engage and motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable around water for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead structured swim lessons following YMCA guidelines.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment for learning.
• Assess swimmers' abilities and provide feedback.
• Ensure participant safety with supervision and pool rules.
