Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor Certification required.
• ASHI CPR, First Aid, Oxygen, Child Abuse Prevention, and related trainings required.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead swimming lessons and ensure participant safety per YMCA policies.
• Maintain records of attendance and progress as required.
• Perform equipment checks and prepare materials before class.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Potentially conduct private lessons or specialty clinics as needed.
