Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a part-time Golden Teacher to instruct children in water safety and swim technique using our curriculum. You will follow the Goldfish Swim School program, supervise students, and contribute to a fun, safe learn-to-swim environment.

Provide direction, mentor new instructors, and support a culture of WOW customer service while maintaining equipment and following emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two or more years as a swimming instructor required.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School Curriculum.
• Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Assists with new employee onboarding including: providing direction, training and mentoring to new GSS team members.
• Completes new teacher training feedback documentation.
• Participates in company culture initiatives.
• Provides WOW! customer service to members.
• Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
• Reports issues to management as appropriate.
• Maintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipment.
• Reports accidents and incidents to management. Completes required incident documentation..
• Assists in execution of the Emergency Action Plan when needed.
• Occasionally performs light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, etc.
• Occasionally required to attend in-service training outside of regular working hours.
