Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Waugh Chapel is hiring year-round, part-time instructors with leadership opportunities within 3–6 months. You’ll teach water safety and swim techniques, using our curriculum, and update families on progress after each 30-minute lesson.

We offer paid training, a set weekly schedule, and opportunities for advancement. Enjoy great pay and valuable work experience, with regular social events and kid-friendly growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Lifeguard, CPR & AED certification during training.
• Comfort in warm, humid pool environment with physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking to identify and resolve challenges for students.
• Maintain and store pool equipment; place/remove lane lines and class materials.
• Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc.
• Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
• Fulfill other duties assigned by employer.
