Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a part‑time Swim Instructor to teach water safety and swimming techniques using our curriculum. You will communicate progress to parents after each 30‑minute lesson and foster a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating student progress, coordinating with guardians, and maintaining pool equipment. This role requires lifeguard certification and the ability to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• In-house lifeguard certification required.
• Must pass a basic 50-yard swim test.
• Ability to swim and perform in-water rescues if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction per Goldfish Swim School curriculum and teach water safety.
• Evaluate student progress and complete required paperwork promptly.
• Interact with parents/guardians about skill development.
• Apply problem-solving to resolve student challenges.
• Maintain and secure pool equipment; set up/clear lane lines.
• Perform lifeguard duties and light cleaning as needed.
• Attend occasional workshops and in-service training.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.
