Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Columbia is seeking part-time swim instructors with leadership opportunities within 3–6 months. Paid training and a set weekly schedule are provided, perfect for students or second jobs. Grow with us as you help children learn water safety and technique.

You’ll instruct, communicate progress to families, and work in a vibrant, supportive environment with growth and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED training during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on Goldfish curriculum.
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations.
• Evaluate progress and complete required paperwork on time.
• Interact with parents/guardians about child development and progress.
• Use problem-solving to identify and resolve challenges in the lessons.
• Maintain pool equipment storage and prepare lanes and class materials.
• Perform light cleaning duties (windows, decks, trash) as needed.
• Attend occasional workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the employer.
