Job summary

SafeSplash Lancaster, PA is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach swimming with a focus on safety and enjoyment. You will provide positive feedback, structure classes for skill progression, and ensure swimmer safety in every session.

On-the-job training is available; CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred and can be earned within 60 days of hire. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within the aquatics program.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction is preferred; paid training provided.
• Current Red Cross CPR-PR/AED and First Aid preferred; we help certify within 60 days of hire.
• Experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and with Special Needs is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
• Ability to be in the water for extended periods and assist children up to 75 pounds as needed.

• Structure class time to include repetition, reinforcement, and progression of skills.

What will you do as a Swim Instructor?

• Teach the joy and skill of swimming in a fun, positive manner
• Provide positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
• Ensure swimmer safety

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction is preferred but on-the-job paid training is provided regardless
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant preferred but we will help you get certified in 60 days of hire
• Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.
• Someone who is excited to learn, grow, and build skills for the future
• Requires the ability to be in the water for extended periods, actively engage with swimmers, and assist children in and out of the pool, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds when needed.
