General Statement of Duties

Swim Instructors are responsible for teaching swimming techniques, safety rules, and water activities to individuals and groups. They ensure student safety, take attendance, complete paperwork, and follow pool policies.

Position Features

• Follow swimming lesson curriculum for various ages and levels.
• Adjust to different swimming abilities in group or individual settings.
• Enforce pool policies and rules.
• Work under stressful conditions and follow emergency protocols.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Stand, sit, swim, or walk in sun and water for varying durations.
• Maintain good physical condition to instruct effectively.
• Schedule flexibility for evenings and weekends.
