Job summary

Macon-Bibb County Government is seeking a Serious Violent Felony Case Manager to provide case management, administrative, and program support for the Serious Violent Felony Unit. The role involves coordinating information, maintaining case records, monitoring progress, and communicating with attorneys, law enforcement, and court personnel.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field (or equivalent experience) and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Experience in an administrative, legal, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor assigned cases through the prosecution process.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and related documentation.
• Coordinate communication with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, victims, witnesses, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Track case activity, deadlines, court dates, and other important milestones.
• Gather, organize, and maintain case-related records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with trial preparation and other court-related activities.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents as requested.
• Enter and maintain information in office databases and case management systems.
• Ensure confidential information is handled in accordance with applicable laws and office policies.
• Assist with special projects, program initiatives, and administrative assignments.
• Provide general support to the Serious Violent Felony Unit and other divisions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
