Job summary

The Sr. Investigator position within Macon-Bibb County is responsible for conducting criminal investigations, interviewing all parties, and obtaining statements. You will plan court presentations with the prosecuting attorney, present evidence, and handle warrants and subpoenas.

Qualifications

• Obtains statements.
• Plans court presentations with prosecuting attorney and presents evidence.
• Serves court papers and subpoenas.
• Obtains and serves warrants.
• Develops intelligence resources for investigations and undercover operations.
• Reviews information, writes and files case reports and supplements and compiles case files.
• Assists other agencies; shares information with law enforcement.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment.
• Transports inmates and witnesses to court.
• Attends training sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the District Attorney.

Responsibilities

• Assists other law enforcement agencies with investigations upon requests; provides information on criminal activity to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
• Maintains assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Transports inmates and witnesses to and from court proceedings.
• Attends training session as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the District Attorney.
