Suzuki Association of The Americas Inc. seeks a Teacher of Cello starting August 2026 to guide students in the Santa Monica Mountains area, Calabasas.

Position: Teacher of Cello – commencing August 2026. School is located in the Santa Monica Mountains of Los Angeles County on a 40‑acre campus in Calabasas.
Duties include teaching private and group Suzuki cello lessons before and after school to students in grades 1 to 4, and teaching before school beginning strings classes to students in grades 3 and 4. During the school day, this individual will work with cellists in grades 5 to 12, leading sectionals, working with students individually and providing small group instruction and supporting the other string teachers.
Ideally this person will have a cello degree in music education or performance and Suzuki training through cello book #2. Ideally this individual could also teach beginning violin and viola students or would be willing to learn basic skills on the violin and viola.
Anticipated compensation is $65,000 – $85,000 depending on experience in addition to a benefits package.
