Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc is seeking a highly motivated Sustainment Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ. This role involves handling Sustainment Engineering tasks for electromechanical wearable drug delivery devices. Responsibilities include leading device investigations, managing corrective actions, and ensuring product reliability through collaboration and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. This position is onsite and includes generous Paid Time Off and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product sustainment or R&D support required.
• Familiarity with PCBA design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry like medical devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead device investigations for new and existing devices.
• Implement corrective actions related to Non-Conformance Reports.
• Support change impact assessments across engineering, manufacturing, and quality.

Skills

Root cause analysis methodologies

Electronic CAD tools (Altium and/or OrCad)

Ability to read electronic schematics

Knowledge of C/C++ languages

Experience with microcontroller architecture

Working knowledge of regulatory standards (ISO 13485, FDA, IEC)

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
