Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Sustainment Engineer to support electromechanical wearable drug delivery devices within the global HW & SW R&D group. You will work autonomously to sustain products, ensure reliability and regulatory compliance, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years' experience in sustainment or R&D support, plus knowledge of FMEA, PCBA design, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in sustainment or R&D support.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (FMEA/FTA).
• Familiarity with PCBA design and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Altium/OrCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead device investigations for new and existing devices.
• Implement corrective actions for NCRs, SCARs, and complaints.
• Manage PCBA changes with traceability and compliance.
• Support change impact assessments across teams.
• Facilitate change controls for HW and SW changes.
• Support customer interactions to demonstrate system performance.
• Assist with risk assessments and design reviews.
• Support project scoping and resource estimation.
• Other duties as assigned.
