Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. in Chandler, AZ seeks a Mechanical Engineer II – Sustaining to own designs for solar tracker components and drive cost reduction, reliability, and performance.

You will lead RCAs, develop design requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams using SolidWorks, FEA, and DFMA/DFMEA principles to meet program targets. Responsibilities include defining scopes, creating DRDs, planning tests, and supporting production from concept through field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience developing mechanical components and systems.
• Experience with FEA, DFMA and design for cost in development of products.
• 1+ years defining design validation tests and stage-gate processes.

Responsibilities

• Take design responsibility for assigned components and sub-systems.
• Lead RCA efforts on components and sub-systems.
• Create DRDs based on MRDs from Product Management.
• Create plans for component and system tests and interpret results.
• Read and process engineering drawings and guidelines.
• Develop timelines and cost estimates for development tasks.
