Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Research and Technology team focused on next generation solar tracking systems. You will help evaluate load resistance, stability, and performance of mechanical and structural systems.

You will collaborate with other engineers, assist in analysis, modeling, and testing, and help develop design methods and tools under guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0–2 years relevant experience; internships accepted.
• Fundamental knowledge of statics and dynamics.
• Exposure to FEA or simulation tools.
• Basic programming or scripting (Python) preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow structured engineering processes.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Team player with ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans for tracker systems and subsystems.
• Collect and interpret test data.
• Correlate test results with engineering models.
• Operate engineering tools and support enhancements.
• Perform mechanical and structural analysis using FEA.
• Develop models using statics and dynamics.
• Support optimization studies under senior engineers.
• Document assumptions and findings clearly.
