Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead sustaining efforts for solar tracker components. You will drive design concepts, perform FEA and DFMA analyses, mentor less experienced engineers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to align with the product roadmap.

The role emphasizes hands-on CAD work (SolidWorks) and design validation across stages, with travel as needed to project sites and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 10+ years of experience developing mechanical components and systems.
• 8+ years of experience performing mechanical engineering hand-calculations and designing hardware.
• 8+ years of experience utilizing FEA, DFMA and design for cost.
• 5+ years of experience using 3D CAD software.
• 5+ years of experience defining design validation tests.
• 2+ years of experience using SolidWorks.
• 10+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead responses to engineering change requests on assigned parts.
• Perform root cause analysis and redesign to address field failures.
• Lead other engineers on programs and projects when needed.
• Provide direction to cross-functional teams to meet targets.
• Support product road map development for assigned product.
• Develop design concepts using SolidWorks and analyze with DFMA/FEA/DFMEA.
• Create design history and verification documentation.
