Job summary

OPW, part of Dover Corporation, seeks a Sustaining Engineer at the Hamilton, Ohio facility to provide frontline engineering support for a diverse line of fluid-handling products.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and manage engineering changes while ensuring ISO 9001 and AAR compliance. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5+ years in sustaining engineering, manufacturing support, or product engineering.
• Proven root-cause analysis and driving product improvements in a team.
• Proficient with 3D CAD (Creo) and Windchill; familiar with ERP systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AAR standards.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory change impacts for Hamilton-made rail products and help update production processes and documentation.
• Perform forensic examinations to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
• Support quality during audits to ensure AAR certification compliance.
• Collaborate with design engineering and operations to provide frontline technical support.
• Implement product enhancements and productivity improvements; manage engineering changes and update BOMs/drawings.
• Assist transfer of new products from development to manufacturing and support customer service with technical inquiries.
