Job summary

Dover Corporation in Hamilton, OH, seeks a Sustaining Engineer to provide frontline engineering support for a range of fluid transfer products. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve manufacturing and quality issues, implement enhancements, and assist with new product development initiatives at the Hamilton, Ohio facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 3–5+ years of sustaining engineering, manufacturing support, or product engineering.
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis investigations and drive product improvements in a team environment.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling software (Creo and Windchill preferred).
• Experience with the engineering change process and ERP systems (creating and updating item masters and bills of material).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• This position is based in the Knappco facility in Hamilton, OH.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory change processes for rail products and update production processes and documentation.
• Perform forensic examinations to identify root causes and oversee corrective actions; some travel may be required to observe equipment.
• Support quality during audits to ensure compliance with AAR certification requirements.
• Interface with design engineering and operations to provide frontline technical support for Hamilton, OH products.
• Implement product enhancements and productivity improvements as identified by leadership.
• Manage engineering change processes and update BOMs, drawings, and related documents.
• Assist design engineering with transferring new products from development to manufacturing.
• Provide engineering support to customer service and sales for escalated inquiries.
• Other activities as needed.
