Job summary

Trane Technologies in Upstate NY is hiring an Equipment Project Manager to oversee HVAC equipment projects, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and field staff to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will plan and analyze projects, generate schedules and milestones, enter orders, monitor costs and cash flow, and keep accurate forecasts while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years in project management, equipment, HVAC or related fields; four years preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems is preferred and beneficial.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and parameters to achieve objectives.
• Communicates with customers, owners, contractors, and field staff to maintain satisfaction.
• Monitors ship dates, order processes, and ensures compliance with internal procedures.
• Manages forecasted costs at completion and controls expenses.
• Creates and revises project schedules, tasks, dependencies, and milestones.
• Handles equipment orders, purchase orders, and start-up work orders.
• Oversees project cash-flow management including billing and collections.
