Job summary

ZGF Architects seeks a talented Sustainable Design Analyst in Seattle, WA with 3+ years’ experience to guide projects toward high-performance outcomes. You will work with architecture teams, consultants and clients to shape design strategies, conduct LCAs, and support certifications like LEED and WELL across US/Canada.

Responsibilities include leading LCAs, daylighting studies, energy and material health analyses, and communicating results through clear visuals.

Qualifications

• Experience with LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge and Passive House is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with modeling, graphics, and scripting.
• Creative problem solving with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient with LCA software tools and related analysis.
• Experience with architectural project documents and specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop design strategies to meet sustainability goals.
• Support high-performance project delivery in US/Canada sectors (education, transit, healthcare, civic, commercial).
• Lead LCA studies and design optimization.
• Perform daylighting, shading, thermal comfort, energy, carbon and material health analyses.
• Create visual/data graphics to communicate results to clients.
• Research sustainable products and improve LCA workflows.
• Train staff on project analyses and plant new workflows.
• Contribute to marketing and project performance initiatives.
