Job summary

ZGF Architects in Seattle, WA seeks a Sustainable Design Analyst with 3+ years to guide project performance and sustainability goals across education, transit, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

You will lead LCAs, daylighting and energy analyses, train staff, and help develop workflows while collaborating with architectural teams, consultants, and clients to deliver high-performance buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite.
• Creative problem solving with ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work with architecture teams, consultants, and clients to develop design strategies that meet the sustainable vision and project goals.
• Support delivery of projects in US and Canada aiming for higher building performance.
• Lead project Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and collaborate on design optimization.
• Perform daylighting, solar shading, thermal comfort, energy and material health analyses.
• Summarize analyses via visual/data graphics and communicate results to clients/consultants.
• Research innovative products and materials for sustainability, health, and performance.
• Develop and improve workflows for LCA, carbon intensity, and other analyses.
• Train design staff on analyses including LCAs, climate, daylight, and solar studies.
• Contribute to office-wide initiatives and marketing around project performance.
• Demonstrate motivation to seek new responsibilities.
