Job summary

ZGF Architects seeks an Architectural Sustainability Lead and Subject Matter Expert to guide sustainability direction across LA, DC, or NY offices. You will mentor teams, translate best practices for projects, and lead sustainability analyses from design to documentation.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of architectural experience, expertise in LEED/WELL/Passive House, and proficiency in Revit and related performance tools. Expect collaborative work in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Architectural degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Subject matter expert in sustainability areas such as Materials, Resilience or Systems.
• Experience on complex multi-phased projects in HE, transit, healthcare, civic or commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead office sustainability initiatives and mentor teams.
• Translate best practices into actionable guidance for projects and clients.
• Develop design and technical solutions across all phases, including modeling and performance metrics.
